The application is initiated by the association of Small Rooms Singapore (RAS) with LOO Connect program is displayed on their site (toilet.org.sg). This program allows people to tag and comment on existing public facilities and judging by giving three, four or five stars.
Through a new application that can be used in smart phones and Android tablet devices, the nonprofit group said the application was "capitalize on the trend 'social crowd' and technologies to mark clean toilets and encourage socially responsible behavior".
"This mobile application also facilitates the collection of information by volunteers RAS during the audit covered the number of toilets under the program 'Happy Toilet'.

RAS results of a survey conducted last year showed the dirtiest toilets in Singapore tend to be in the cafes, markets, bus terminals, hawker centers and food as well as the underground station. As for the cleanest normally reside in government offices, hospitals and restaurants.
Bad design and poor hygiene efforts were also noted in the survey as the main cause dirty toilet. But another reason is also mentioned that the number of violations by 79 percent - identified as "irresponsible users".
